My thoughts on "Custom" Photography...

My thoughts on Custom Photography and why I became a {dumdumdummmmm} MOMTOG!!  LOL!  When I got my camera I did it because I wanted to take better pictures of my daughter.  I wanted something more original to put on my walls (being a lifetime artist the photos I got from pennys were not making the cut, and my crappy point and shoot was getting a shot always a second too late!!!  {If your a mom with a point and shoot you know exactly what I mean.}  I wanted to never again have to sit chewing my fingernails trying everything in my power to get the kiddo to stop crying or smile pretty  because the next person in line walked in five minutes ago and we have maybe five halfway decent shots....finally I give in, in utter frustration and despair with tears in my eyes as well as hers. I'm rushed through the ordering process, because the whole "next customer" thing.  I end up spending $200 plus on pictures that are not only not true representations of who our children are...but lets face it,  they're only cute because it's our kids sweet lil pun-um gracing the image.  Then roughly a month later, pick up the pictures get them outside in the sunlight and notice just how bad her cradle cap was, snot running down their nose, etc... and literally cry at the $200 you spent for "that!!" Sound familiar??

I never knew anything about custom photography, nothing...not a clue.

Four months later my brother shows up, Olympus in hand, and suddenly I have some of the most beautiful, original, utterly Kylie photos on my walls.  Still, to me it was just convenience,  no more typical cookie cutter chain store photog, screaming baby, pain in my butt photos.  Then... he moved out, and I'm left with those one second past "the shot" pictures.  So...that is when I decided to purchase my first "real" camera and the rest is history.  People often question "Why" the cost behind custom photography, but don't consider the time and dedication, not to mention an artists passion that goes into making it a "Custom" experience.  Catering to each family's own needs and desires offering a first class experience.  Not to mention the end results are something artistic and beautiful, a TRUE representation of you and your family...Something you would be proud to display on your walls for years and years to come!
